2019 FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIPWORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The Eco Initiative of F4F 2019 is created in support of the animals which are on the brink of extinction. There are fundamental values in our programme that all participants know and apply in everyday life. Every year we organize such initiatives. This year will not be an exception, so you have an opportunity to place the logo of an animal on the photo. You can act in defense of animals and be a great fan at the same time!

ABOUT FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP 2019

Football for Friendship (F4F) is an International Children’s Social Programme, that was started in 2013. The goal of the programme is to support children’s and youth sports, to cultivate in the younger generation interest in a healthy lifestyle and to promote respect for representatives of different nationalities and cultures among them.

For the seven seasons of the programme more than 6000 boys and girls have become ambassadors for peace, friendship and equality, and more than 5 million people are wearing Friendship bracelets. Since the launch of the programme, its geography has expanded to 211 countries and regions. Football for Friendship is supported by FIFA, UEFA, Olympic and Paralympic Committee, football federations, children’s foundations, hundreds of famous athletes, and thousands of journalists around the globe.

The programme constitutes of several large-scale events, and one of them is Football for Friendship World Championship. At the Football for Friendship World Championship all International Teams of Friendship play qualification matches. Based on the results of these matches, the two strongest teams are chosen. Young players of the finalist teams will reward each other at the solemn award ceremony. Champions will receive the main trophy – Football for Friendship Cup

INTERNATIONAL TEAMS OF FRIENDSHIP

International Teams of Friendship are the teams of Young Players from F4F new season's participating countries and regions. Each team is formed in accordance with the F4F principle. It means that athletes of different nationalities, genders and physical abilities play in one team. We strongly believe that the F4F principle is the best way for the children to discover the diversity of our world, learn about traditions from different countries and regions, and make new friends. Each Team of Friendship is guided by their own Young Coach, who is also chosen randomly.

To form F4F International Teams of Friendship, we established the official Open Draw. The main aim of this event is to unite young football players from all around the world in one team, give them a chance to know each other, learn about different cultures and countries while playing football.

2019 Ecological Initiative

It is especially important for all young F4F participants, not only to meet on the football field with their peers from different countries, but to take part and initiate different social activities, which would promote Nine Values: friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions, and honour.

In 2019, we are aiming to tell the world about the problem of rare species of animals’ disappearing. To do this, 32 International Teams of Friendship are named after rare animals, listed in the Red Book.
